Katherine Fleming Named 2018 AHF Young Leader

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 21, 2018--Katherine Fleming, Vice President of Portfolio for BRIDGE Housing, has been named a 2018 Young Leader by Affordable Housing Finance magazine.

With this award, the publication is honoring six individuals age 40 and younger “who share a passion and mission for creating affordable housing and serving low-income households across the nation.” The Young Leaders will be featured in the October issue of the magazine and honored at AHF Live: The Affordable Housing Developers Summit, Nov. 12-14 in Chicago.

Ms. Fleming, who joined BRIDGE in 2014, leads a team that is responsible for maintaining BRIDGE’s portfolio of high quality assets and directing BRIDGE’s short- and long-term portfolio strategies, with particular concern for the financial, operational and physical health of the properties. She is also active in promoting the importance of strong asset management for the industry.

She previously worked at RBC Capital Markets for seven years, most recently as Development Risk Manager, Vice President. There, she was responsible for a portfolio of approximately 25 properties under construction and lease-up, totaling over $280 million in equity investment and over 3,300 units. Earlier, she was Director of Asset Management for Resources for Community Development, and a Project Manager for The Community Builders, Inc. Ms. Fleming is a Certified Housing Asset Manager and Non-Project Housing Management Specialist who has studied Construction Management and City Planning; she holds an A.A. from Simon’s Rock College and a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College.
