BRIDGE Housing Names Alexa Jeffress Director of Potrero

SAN FRANCISCO, February 26, 2018—Alexa Jeffress has joined BRIDGE Housing as Director of Potrero. Ms. Jeffress will oversee the redevelopment of Potrero, a large-scale, mixed-income, mixed-use public housing revitalization effort in San Francisco.

She reports to Executive Vice President Kimberly McKay. BRIDGE is a nationally recognized nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable housing.

Ms. Jeffress has 16 years of leadership experience in affordable housing, government administration, technology and project management. She has extensive experience with state and federal housing programs, including Section 8, FHA loan programs, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs).

Prior to joining BRIDGE, Ms. Jeffress spent more than seven years at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), most recently as Director of Asset Management for the Multifamily West Region. While at HUD, she managed 55 employees in four offices, servicing more than 200,000 units of HUD-insured and subsidized housing in California, Oregon, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii, and Idaho; administered $1.5 billion in annual Section 8 subsidies; managed risk for an $8.5 billion FHA-insured portfolio; and preserved more than 32,500 units of affordable housing.

She holds a BA from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and is a member of the California State Bar.
