BRIDGE rehabilitated this historic hotel in downtown Richmond, which had been vacant for over a decade. The development includes 36 one-bedroom apartments for seniors, with commercial space and community services on the ground floor. BRIDGE obtained landmark status for the building and used historic and low-income tax credits along with State loan funds to reduce rents for very-low-income seniors. This property is adjacent to Richmond City Center, also developed by BRIDGE, which includes 34 townhomes and 64 family apartments, as well as a park, a shopping center and a veterans’ memorial.
