Homes That Provide Opportunity The apartments BRIDGE builds are designed to not only make residents feel safe and comfortable but to help families and communities thrive. Our affordable rents help residents save money, invest in education, and create a better future. |
Ranked recently as the least affordable state based on wages and housing, California is hardly the "Golden" State. Over 40% of Californians are unable to afford a two-bedroom apartment at market rents. With many California counties ranking as the least affordable in the nation, working families and seniors are hard-pressed to find, let alone afford, quality housing in their communities. BRIDGE developments fill the growing need for a range of affordable homes in California. The majority of our homes support residents earning very low to moderate incomes, including teachers, public employees, service industry employees, and agricultural workers. Most of our residents earn between $15,000 and $50,000 annually, which is considered approximately 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income. (Click here to learn about how California defines Area Median Income.) | BRIDGE rents are approximately one-half to one-third of the market rate. Almost 20% of our homes are for ownership, selling well below the average market-rate price. We take extra steps to design our communities with attractive features and amenities that make them indistinguishable from market-rate properties. The high-quality construction and first-rate ongoing maintenance ensure that BRIDGE properties continue to look as good as, or even better than, neighboring market-rate real estate.
